Basic Leader Training &
Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills

Have you heard? There is a NEW Basic Leader Training (BLT) Course and it’s designed for you - no matter what your position is with your unit. The course utilizes modular formats with separate syllabuses for each unit position. The whole goal is to get you trained for the position you are now serving in the unit without wasting your time learning about things your may never need to know.

Outdoor skills topics covered: Campsite selection, Ropes, Woods Tools, Fires, Outdoor Cooking, First Aid, Plant identification, Animal identification, Packing and Hiking, Map and Compass, Leave No Trace Camping.

This is a required course for Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Webelos Leaders, and other adults who will be camping with Boy Scout age youth or older.

Our Council Training Committee’s goal (each District Training Chair) is 100% trained leaders. All members of the training committee are committed to doing whatever it takes to get your unit trained - including personal presentations. For more information contact your District Executive or Boy Scout Training Chairman Mike Wolfe, 507-473-0047 or e- mail mike@wolfcamp.net.
